Shu Pu Erh Menghai Gu Cha, AAA, 2018
Shu Pu Erh from the Menghai region, made from the leaves of ancient trees. The tea's aroma is dense and intense, with notes of hot chocolate with cream and vanilla. The flavor is mild and oily, with notes of oatmeal chocolate cookies, almonds, and dried tobacco, with hints of cocoa and milk chocolate. The tea easily brews into an "oil" yet retains its velvety consistency. This tea is excellent for focusing attention, energizing, and warming.
Shu Pu Erh from the Menghai region is made from the leaves of ancient trees.
The tea's aroma is rich and full-bodied, with notes of dry wood and autumn forest. As the tea steeps, notes of hot chocolate, cream, and vanilla emerge. The flavor is soft, buttery, mature, and clean, without being earthy, with notes of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, almonds, and dry tobacco in the first few steeps. As the tea matures, the taste becomes denser and more confectionary, with notes of cocoa and milk chocolate and the refined bitterness of lime zest. The tea easily dissolves into oil, but retains its velvety texture.
This tea is excellent for focusing, invigorating, and warming.
