The tea's flavor is mild, balanced, full-bodied, sweet and sour, with notes of dark dried fruit, ripe berries, and honey with bee pollen. The noble citrus bitterness of bergamot is noticeable. This oolong from the Georgian Ratna factory boasts a complex and multifaceted profile. Its concept is based on anaerobic fermentation, which makes this tea similar to GABA oolongs, and the use of Georgian raw materials, genetically related to the famous red Keemun (Qihong) tea.
Long, dusty-brown strands with golden buds, twisted longitudinally. The aroma of the dry tea is delicate and sweet; when warmed, notes of fresh honey in honeycomb and dried berries clearly emerge. The aroma of the steamed leaves is rich and warm, honey-berry, with light wine and spicy undertones.
The infusion is clean, transparent, and orange-gold in color. The taste of the tea is soft, balanced, rounded, and sweet and sour, with notes of dark dried fruits, ripe berries, and honey with bee bread. The noble citrus bitterness of bergamot lingers in the background. The finish is long and deep, with a refreshing berry tartness.
