The tightly rolled, dark olive-colored leaves possess an oily sheen and a gentle, sweet aroma reminiscent of fruit orchards, nectar, orchids, and vanilla. Once warmed, the leaves reveal notes of raspberry jam, sweet bell pepper, and a subtle, tart hint of sorrel.
The infusion is amber-colored, clear, and transparent, with a warm, caramel-apple fragrance. The taste is deep and mellow, featuring sweet confectionery notes, the tartness of green apples, and nuances of salted caramel. The aftertaste is light and airy, with a delicate, spicy undertone.
This is a very light, pleasant, and highly drinkable tea—evocative of a confectionery shop. It is wonderfully refreshing, relaxing, inspiring, and soothing.
How to brew
Steaming
- Teaware: porcelain or clay teapot / gaiwan
- Water: 85-90°C
- Ratio of dry tea leaves: 4-5 g. per 100 ml water
Brew in short infusions of 10-30 seconds, gradually increasing the time by 5-10 seconds.
Infusion method
