A blend of Zhou Gui oolong from Wuyishan and Shu Pu Erh. An interesting experiment from Tea Mail that will appeal to lovers of both Wuyi oolongs and Shu Pu Erh teas.
The first steeps are reminiscent of classic Da Hong Pao, with notes of prune, tobacco, and astringency. After the fifth steep, sweetness emerges, and the infusion becomes thick and dense, gradually transitioning into an oily Shu Pu Erh with notes of vanilla pastry and nuts.
A distinctive, characterful tea. Perfect for brewing in a thermos.
How to brew
Steaming
- Teaware: clay or ceramic teapot, gaiwan
- Water: 90-95°C
- Ratio of dry tea leaves: 3-4 g per 100 ml of water
Brew in short infusions of 5-10 seconds, gradually increasing the time by 10-15 seconds.
Infusion method
- Teaware: glass or ceramic teapot
- Water: 90-95°C
- Ratio of dry tea leaves: 4-6 g per 500 ml of water
Infuse for 3-4 minutes
